Trust & Safety Investigator at Turo

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial and dedicated professional to join our Trust & Safety team at Turo. You will process, investigate, and resolve customer disputes, account reviews, and any issues that affect the safety of our online marketplace.

The ideal candidate has superb judgment, a track record of handling tricky situations, and a passion for preventing fraud while assisting impacted customers.

This position reports to our Trust & Safety Manager, in our SF office.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Be the Trust & Safety liaison for escalations from the Customer Support team
  • Provide outstanding customer support to our community often in high-stress situations
  • Work with law enforcement and other 3rd parties to resolve cases
  • Investigate other fraud and safety issues and help process chargeback disputes
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal processes
 Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of Customer Service, Trust and Safety, Fraud or Risk Management. E-commerce experience preferred.
  • Flexible and open to a schedule that includes weekend and night coverage.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, drive and embrace change.
  • Superb communication, interpersonal, and investigative skills.
  • Ability to manage investigations from start to finish with excellent follow-through, attention to detail, and with minimal need for supervision.
  • Commitment to high responsiveness and availability.
  • Strong proficiency with technology: experience with Zendesk, CRM systems, Google Docs, and MS Office preferred. Mac expertise a plus.
  • Must be a team player, with positive mental attitude, high energy, high integrity, strong work ethic, enthusiasm, sense of humor, and a commitment to the mission.
  • BA/BS or work equivalent required.
  • Legal or law enforcement experience desirable.
