Launched in 2014 by Ahti Heinla and Janus Friis, our business headquarters is in San Francisco. We have embarked on commercial pilots, with hundreds of robots driving along the sidewalks across the United States, and four countries in Europe. Our robots, and the smart thinking behind them, are going global.
 
We are looking for an HR Partner to join our team in San Francisco. You will be handling HR for one of the world's most talked-about tech companies. Within our global HR team, you will get to be responsible for building and executing Starship's HR strategy and processes, policies affecting the whole employee lifecycle in the US.

In this job role, you will get to

    • supporting and coaching the team members and managers on all HR related matters,
    • generating creative ways to attract, engage, and recruit the best candidates,
    • consistently proactively assessing the local labor market to ensure we go by the very best HR practices,
    • taking initiative and being involved in documenting global processes, programs and policies, to enable our organization to scale successfully,
    • implementing and administering HR policies i.e. on-boarding and off-boarding, benefits, performance management, salary reviews duly taking into account state and country legislation,
    • supervising processing payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees,
    • keeping up to date with changes in labor laws and collective agreements if applicable, adjusting Starship policies accordingly.

You'll be set up for success if you

      • have 3+ years of experience in recruitment and/or employment relations and HR admin (incl payroll, benefits administration), ideally some of it as an HR partner
      • university degree in relevant field and/or SHRM/PHR certification,
      • can orientate within the legal system and current regulations in different states and country,
      • have a strong, value-driven orientation towards employees and managers,
      • have a warm personality and are a genuine people person,
      • are a trusted and discreet partner, with an innate ability to navigate difficult conversations and support leaders,
      • have an understanding of how the daily practices that affect and shape company culture.
 
    • It's a plus if you have an understanding of immigration and relocation processes, experience with international hiring, and in a high-speed growth company
