Job Description

On the Care Delivery team, we aim to provide the best virtual care experience. Period. You will interact with a range of teams and personnel across the entire platform including our internal Clinical teams,financial/engineering/product/design/data teams, to patients and customers.  

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who can help solve some of the biggest pain points in the healthcare experience, from how to ensure customer billing accuracy, to delivering transparent and efficient patient billing, to expanding the range of billing options available to our internal behavioral health and virtual primary care practices. This is a role that will focus on some of the most common and highest-friction experiences in healthcare, and has an opportunity to impact the lives of our millions of members.
As Senior Product Manager for Payments, You Will…

Drive Margin improvements by identifying opportunities, and executing cross-functionally to deliver value.
Identify opportunities to improve company margin relative to revenue cycle management processes
Leverage your understanding of health-care billing flows to optimize payments funnels and flows
Work with Clinical and financial teams to expand the range of billing options for our virtual medical practices.
Ensure our payments flows are compliant and transparent for our patient populations
Reduce friction around internal tooling to build best-in-class payments systems
Collaborate with implementation, revenue cycle management, eligibility, customer success teams to understand and resolve customer-related issues.  
Focus on impact. Prioritize competing demands to ensure teams are working on the highest impact items at any given time.
Solve problems like: how do we help members understand their healthcare bills? How might we provide advocacy for them when they’re billed incorrectly?
Define the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and prioritization for both existing and yet-to-be-developed products and features related to billing, revenue cycle management and virtual care payments.
Build tools and processes to enable finance and billing teams to work more efficiently.
Work closely with design, engineering, data science, clinicians and other cross-functional partners to prioritize features and ship products across the full product lifecycle.
Understand and analyze user/customer needs deeply using both quantitative and qualitative tactics.
Develop expertise in how the healthcare system works and become an authority both internally and to customers for how to tackle key problems members face.
Collaborate with other product managers to deliver cohesive, robust experiences.

Solving these problems successfully means meaningfully increasing healthcare access and affordability for millions of members, while also scaling our business to support many millions more.

You Might Be A Good Fit If...

You have 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with a strong track record of delivering impactful software products throughout the full lifecycle. Or, >3 years experience working in revenue cycle in a provider setting (Claims, Billing, AR Follow up, Medical Coding, Patient payments, denials resolution). Preferably with a Telehealth organization.
Understand  ANSI EDI Standards (270/271, 835/837)
Have experience working with EDI Clearinghouses (eg. Change Healthcare, Trizetto, or Waystar).
Are highly data-informed; you possess excellent analytical skills and experience defining and measuring product metrics.
You have deep empathy for users, and keep the patient and their needs at the center of the product. You’re able to balance patient needs against business constraints.
You have a track record of wrestling with complex problems to develop simple and user-friendly solutions, and have deep intuition about user experience and what makes a product experience great.
You possess excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
You have previous experience in healthcare (prior consumer product experience is not required)
