Reporting to the VP of People, this role functions as the primary owner for benefits, payroll, and strategic support on all people-related matters for our non-exempt employees. This includes partnering with Operations leadership on employee relations, performance management, and handling sensitive employee matters. You'll be essential to creating a supportive environment for our organization, developing training opportunities, ensuring our employees get paid on time, and building great benefits packages. Confidentiality, consistent communication, proactive problem-solving, and organization are critical skills for this role. You also love working with our warehouse employees and are comfortable with monthly travel to our sites in Austin, TX; Arlington, TX; Redlands, CA; and Elgin, IL.
ABOUT YOU
You are comfortable with HRIS systems and other HR tools - we use Rippling and Lattice
You know your way around a spreadsheet and consider yourself an Excel pro
Confidentiality is your middle name
You operate with a high level of integrity
Strong communication skills- both written and verbal
Ability to travel monthly to our fulfillment centers in TX, IL, and CA
Have experience working with and supporting non-exempt employees; warehouse/fulfillment support is a big plus
Comprehensive knowledge of employment, benefits, and payroll laws & regulations
Resourceful and proactively seek solutions to challenges
ABOUT THE ROLE
You know the ins and outs of state regulations and have processed multi-state payrolls. You have experience paying out commissions
Administer all of our benefits, including but not limited to open enrollment, 401k, all types of employee leaves
Be the main HR point of contact and support for all warehouse operations employees.
On-site presence in our warehouses, the role includes monthly travel
Utilize People data & analytics to identify broader trends and partner with Ops management on action planning
Proactively support general warehouse personnel issues, including but not limited to employee engagement and experience, investigations, performance management, training and development, and succession planning
Have a comprehensive understanding of employment law, compliance, and legal requirements such as OSHA, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, etc.
Partner with the People Operations Coordinator on onboarding and offboarding administrative processes
Partner with team members and leadership on all Worker’s Compensation matters
